AMULET CEMETERY (Popularly known as Powell Cemetery)

                                    AMULET CEMETERY

This cemetery, popularly known as Powell Cemetery is located east of
Powell Cemetery road, which runs south from US 377, just east of Tolar
in Hood County, Texas. The cemetery is surrounded, on three sides by land
owned by Henry Robertson. The land was originally granted to W. G. Powell
by the State of Texas. It is believed that the Amulet school was on this
same land. This cemetery was read and recorded in 1991 by James P Barret,
his wife Jamelle and his cousin Jodelle Owens.
